Biography of H.E. Antoine Sivan, Ambassador of France to Kenya [fr]

Mr Sivan was born in Paris on 27th August 1958.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the University of Sorbonne, a Degree from the Institute of Political Studies - Paris, as well a Degrees from the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (literal Arabic, Oriental Arabic).

Career:

  • Since October 2016: Ambassador of France to Kenya and Somalia
  • 2011-2016: Ambassador in Tripoli (Libya)
  • March-September 2011: High-level Representative of France to the Libyan Transitional National Council in Benghazi
  • 2008-2010: Diplomatic advisor of the Minister for Justice
  • 2006-2008: Ambassador to Doha (Qatar)
  • 2004-2006: Director for the Middle East at the Middle East and Near East Department, Ministry of Foreign affairs
  • 2003: Chargé d’affaires in Baghdad (Irak)
  • 2000-2002: First Counselor to the French interests section in Baghdad (Irak)
  • 1997-2000: Second Counselor in Beirut (Lebanon)
  • 1994-1997: Advisor to the Presidency of the French Republic
  • May-August 1994: Protocol Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  • 1990-1994: First Secretary in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia)
  • 1988-1990: Deputy Consul in New York
