Military exchanges between France and Kenya.

France is present in Djibouti as part of the 1977 Protocol establishing the conditions for stationing of French forces, through a defense agreement. The FFDJ are numerically the largest French contingent in Africa. The Air Commodore (GBA) Philippe MONTOCCHIO (COMFOR) command about 1,900 soldiers of the force who are the present.

As part of the thriving defense relations between France and Kenya, an exchange program between "Kenyan defense forces" (KDF) and the French forces stationed in Djibouti (FFDJ) was held from 11th to 24th December 2014 in Djibouti.
After an initial exchange of personal 5 in June 2014, are 10 KDF soldiers who participated this time the program proposed by the French military. The controlled detachment embarked on December 11 aboard a C160 air detachment FFDJ to reach Djibouti in the presence of defense attaché (DA) in Kenya.

The program includes shots, cross-presentation materials, joint trainings to the investigation of the village, to the assault, physical training, etc.
All activities have resulted in a fruitful exchange of know-how on both sides.
Back on December 24 evening, satisfied Kenyan military of this exchange were able to spend Christmas in Kenya.
